Visiting Assistant Professor Jud Mathews will serve as the plenary discussant at the second annual Workshop on Comparative Administrative Law in Asia conference, in Taipei, Taiwan, providing commentary on all the papers presented at the conference. The theme of the conference is "Proportionality and Democratic Accountability."

This conference was invite only, and was hosted by the San Diego Institute for Law and Philosophy. Other invitees included Oona Hathaway (Yale Law), Scott Shapiro (Yale Law), Michael Perry (Emory Law), Michael Blake (U Washington Philosophy, formerly Harvard's Kennedy School of Government), and Fernando Teson (Florida State Law).
