Professor Jennifer Robbennolt has been honored with two College of Law annual awards: the Wayne LaFave Award for Excellence in Faculty Scholarship and the John E. Cribbet Excellence in Teaching Award.
Robbennolt received the Wayne LaFave Award for Excellence in Faculty Scholarship for her book Psychology for Lawyers: Understanding the Human Factors in Negotiation, Litigation, and Decision Making (2012), co-authored by Jean R. Sternlight. The annual book award is given in honor of Professor Wayne LaFave, whose remarkable scholarly legacy in criminal law and procedure is best honored through the recognition of work that is of matching ambition and importance.
She also received the John E. Cribbet Excellence in Teaching Award, a three-year honor given to an outstanding teacher within the field of law. Past recipients include Professors John Colombo, Richard Kaplan, Kit Kinports, and Andrew Leipold.
John E. Cribbet served the University of Illinois for more than 40 years as professor of law, dean of the College of Law, and as chancellor of the University. He was regarded as one of the leading scholars of real estate law in the nation and was the recipient of many honors from the University and other institutions.
