College of Law Earns Best State Bar Passage Rate

As reported in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, graduates of the University of Illinois College of Law achieved a 98% passage rate among first-time test takers on the July 2012 administration of the Illinois bar examination – the highest passage rate among the nine law schools in the state of Illinois. Rates are based on data provided to law schools by the Illinois Board of Admissions to the Bar.
A critical aspect of the College's mission is to provide our students with "the substantive legal knowledge, analytic methodologies, practical skills, moral commitments, and temperament" necessary to achieve excellence in the legal profession. Our graduates' success demonstrates the integrity of the College's mission, the strength of our academic program, and the ability and determination of our graduates.
