Monday, April 02, 2012
Prabha Parameswaran, JD ’93 and BS (finance) ’89, has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the College of Law Alumni Loyalty Award.
In its first year, the Alumni Loyalty Award honors alumni who have demonstrated exceptional leadership through their service to the College of Law community. The recipient is selected by the Law Alumni Board.
Parameswaran has played a significant role in creating the former Law Alumni Association (LAA), an independent alumni organization that was merged into the University of Illinois Alumni Association (UIAA) in 2008. The current Law Alumni Board is the governing body of this new UIAA law alumni organization.
The president of the LAA in 2006 and on the board from 2004-2007, Parameswaran has also been a regular alumni participant at the annual Alumni-Student Career Conference, has been a panelist for the Women’s Law Society, and has worked with the Asian American Law Students Association for the past 10 years. She is also very active in the Chicago legal community and her sorority. In 2002, she received the University of Illinois Outstanding Law Alumni award.
Parameswaran is senior counsel at AON Hewitt in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Previously, she was lead counsel at Arthur Anderson LLP and an associate at Pedersen and Houpt, P.C., both in Chicago.
Please join the College of Law in congratulating Prabha on a much deserved recognition!
