Menah Pratt-Clarke

Adjunct Professor Menah Pratt-Clarke serves the University of Illinois as the assistant provost and associate director in the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access. Professor Pratt-Clark received a bachelor's and master's degree in literary studies from the University of Iowa. She received a J.D. and Ph.D. in sociology from Vanderbilt University.

Professor Pratt-Clarke worked as a federal appellate law clerk for the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. She has been an associate attorney in private practice in the areas of real estate, public finance, and commercial lending. She served as university counsel at Vanderbilt University in real estate, regulatory law, and construction law and also as the university compliance officer and assistant secretary at Vanderbilt University for eight years.

She is a licensed attorney in Illinois and Tennessee. Professor Pratt-Clarke has served as an adjunct professor at Vanderbilt Law School and adjunct professor of sociology at Vanderbilt. Additionally, she has taught English and African-American history at Fisk University and American Baptist College in Nashville, Tennessee.
