Professor Ansel maintains a private law practice in Champaign, and is a 1974 graduate of the College of Law.  He also holds a B.S. with honors from the University of Illinois. Professor Ansel has served as a representative to the General Assembly of the Illinois Bar Association, as a member of the Inquiry Board of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, and currently serves on the Character and Fitness Committee of the Illinois Board of Admissions for the Bar. Professor Ansel's practice is limited to civil litigation, with a concentration in business and commercial litigation. He has appeared in state and federal courts throughout Illinois, and has handled appeals at all levels, including appearing before the United States Supreme Court. He has taught in the Trial Advocacy program since 2001.
