Devon Bruce
Adjunct Professor
Professor Bruce is an associate with Power Rogers & Smith in Chicago, practicing in the area of personal injury and wrongful death. Bruce concentrates his practice on appellate advocacy on behalf of tort victims. He has lectured both to the Illinois State Bar Association and to the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association on appellate advocacy.
Prior to joining Power Rogers & Smith, Professor Bruce was a law clerk to the Honorable Mosses W. Harrison II, Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court.
A member of Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association, Bruce received a finalist award for Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. The award was made in recognition of his work on a case that successfully challenged the Illinois Tort Reform Act.
Professor Bruce received his bachelor’s degree and juris doctor from the University of Illinois. He also studied at the University College Cork in Cork, Ireland.
