Chris Higgins


Assistant Dean for Advancement

Chris Higgins joined the College of Law on September 28, 2009 as the Assistant Dean for Advancement.  Chris previously served as the Director of Development for the College of Medicine at The Ohio State University for two and a half years.  In this role, he was responsible for all fundraising initiatives including alumni relations and marketing/communications.  As the Assistant Dean, Chris, will lead all fundraising, including the completion of the $50 million College of Law portion of the Brilliant Futures Campaign as well as alumni relations.  Prior to Ohio State, Chris served as the Director of Development at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.  St. Xavier is the largest all-male private high school in the nation.  At St. Xavier he was responsible for a team of 16 people and successfully led the school’s largest capital campaign, a five-year $25 million endowment campaign for faculty development and tuition assistance.  Chris earned his B.A. in Communications from The Ohio State University.  An avid sports fan, Chris enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, Karen, and their daughter, Sophia.
