1) Do not alter your time report. You must use the form given by this program/class or the electronic version (see link on left under Program Information). No alterations of the time report will be accepted.
2) Fill out one hour total per day and only one week's worth of work per time report. Time reports are set up to enable one to record a 6-day week (if necessary), but if you work the average 5-day week, then only fill in 5 days worth per week/time report. Every other Friday you should be turning in a total of two time reports that reflect two weeks’ worth of work.
3) EXAMPLES OF CORRECT & INCORRECT WAYS TO FILL OUT YOUR TIME (Incorrect time reports will not be accepted and you will be asked to resubmit them.)

You do not need to provide information about how much time you spent on each specific task you completed during one workday. Instead, please provide 5 separate day totals per each weekly time report (or 6 if you are working a 6-day week).

4) Write at least 1 to 2 full sentences of description for each day worked. If you write, “Wrote Report” or “Courtwatching,” you will be asked for further detail so that your time report can be accepted. (You should write enough that if Professor Pahre were your client, she would pay your bill.)
5) Time reports must be filled out in ink. Time reports recorded in pencil will not be accepted.
6) Be sure to keep a copy of your original time reports for verification in case of a later dispute. You should keep your personal copies until your grade has been posted.
7) W R I T E L E G I B L Y . Print if you have to. Typing works, too.
8) You may turn in your time reports using any one of the following methods:
a) Scan them in and e-mail them to law-extern@illinois.edu
b) Fax them to (217) 244-1478
c) Turn reports in via the folder outside of Room 338

THE BASICS:
a) Altered time reports will not be accepted

d) Do not write the exact same description down for each day worked
e) Keep your originals or make a copy for your records, and
f) Provide enough detail so that if Professor Pahre were your client, she'd pay your bill.
