Recent Class Notes
Carl
Stowe
'53
Carl H. Stowe, ’53, of Greenville, Illinois, passed away on September 15, 2009 at the age of 89. After graduation, Mr. Stowe served as Bond County States Attorney from 1956 to 1960, conducted a simultaneous private practice, and thereafter taught in business and public schools, and beginning in 1981, engaged in private practice with his son, Charles K. Stowe. He was an Honorary Member of the Illinois State Bar Association and in 2003 he celebrated his 50th year as an attorney. He served in England and France with the Army–Air Force during World War II.

Peter R. Sonderby, JD '67, has been chosen to receive an Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service by the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois, in conjunction with the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
